Today, Teck Guan is run by a Family Trust, led by Mr. Hong Ngit Ming and his strong management team.

Mr Hong Ngit Ming, aged 52, graduated from the renowned Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, University of London with two qualifications: BSc (Hon) in Electrical Engineering and Associate of City & Guilds Institute (ACGI). He is a Chartered Engineer of the Institute of Electrical Engineers, United Kingdom. He joined the highly diversified Teck Guan Group of Companies in 1976 as a management trainee based initially in the Agricultural Division. He rose to the position of directorship in 1979; in 1983 he became the Deputy Managing Director of Teck Guan Group. He has diverse exposure and practical experience in many fields and businesses including agriculture, processing, manufacturing, mining, milling, property development and international trade. Due to the foregoing and his strong scientific background, he has in-depth exposure to all aspects of the cocoa business from cultivation to processing to research. Furthermore, he made signification contribution to the cocoa industry in Malaysia when he pioneered "The Zero-shade Cocoa Planting" technique which revolutionized the entire cocoa cultivation industry. Being deeply involved in all technical and trading aspects of cocoa, palm oil and other industries, he maintains a diverse network with both local and international merchants and researchers. He also has vast exposure in businesses related to oil palm and palm oil based activities, and has a keen interest in palm oil downstream and oleo-chemicals processes. He is currently the Chairman of Teck Guan Perdana Bhd, and the Chairman of Teck Guan Group.
