Questions
1. Where
is Institute of Science & Management (ISM)?
LOCATION -Tawau is
located at the Southeast coast of Sabah that about 500km from state
capital, Kota Kinabalu. It is the third largest town and also has the
fastest rate of development in Sabah. The Tawau residency comprises of
Merotai, Kalabakan, Kunak, Semporna and Lahad Datu. Tawau is a coastal
town and the airport has daily scheduled flights to and from Kota
Kinabalu, Sandakan, Lahad Datu and Tarakan in Kalimantan, Indonesia.
There's a big sea port near the town centre. Tawau is connected by major
roads like the Tawau-Lahad Datu highway and the Tawau-Kunak highway.
2. How
many students attend Institute of Science & Management (ISM)?
ISM has a
capped full-time enrollment of approximately 80 students every year.
3. What
programmes does ISM offer?
ISM offers
GCE Advanced Level, Diploma In Business Studies & Diploma In Accounting.

Admissions Procedures
1. When
is the application deadline?
We recommend
that students enrolling for January apply by Dec 20.
Applications are always welcome, but only those received prior to
Dec 20 will be considered for scholarships.
2. What
is the application fee?
There is no application fee to be charged.
3. How
long does it take to make a decision on my application?
ISM
Admissions Office works hard to provide applicants with a decision
within 3 days after receiving a complete application (including
necessary transcripts).
4. How do
I apply for Entrance Scholarships?
ISM
scholarships are all in competitive basis. Applicant may give us their
name for applying the scholarship.

Academic
1. How
will I know what courses to choose?
You are
encouraged to study the
Courses Available
carefully to familiarize yourself with the programme offerings and
elective choices available. Ultimately it is the student's
responsibility to determine the course of study chosen. There are
programme advisors available to help you and an academic and career
counselor is also available to assist you with long-term goals.
The academic and career counselor and programme advisors are available
by appointment throughout the year. Programme advisors are also
accessible by phone or e-mail anytime.

Financial
1.
How much
will books cost?
Books may
cost between RM600.00 to RM800.00 for GCE Advanced Level. But, for both
the Diploma Courses, it is all depends on programme and new/used books
purchased.

Accommodation
For the
moment, we did not provide accommodation for students.

International
1. Am
I eligible for scholarships and bursaries?
All
students who apply to ISM are eligible for scholarships.
Approximately, 45% of first-year students this year were awarded
scholarships. Students may apply for bursaries when they arrive on
campus, if they meet the necessary requirements.
2. Is
there an English requirement?
ISM is an English-language
institution. Courses at ISM are taught in English.
If your mother tongue is not English, you
will need to provide documentation to show you exceed one of the
acceptable English-proficiency requirements.
3. I
have been studying in Malaysia for a while. Does the English
requirement apply to me?
If you have been studying in
English for a minimum of three years, you will be considered for an
exemption.
4. I
am studying in a high school outside of Malaysia. How can I determine
if I meet the admission requirements?
If you
cant determine or you meet the admission requirements through our
Admissions Page, contact the Admissions Office with specific
questions.
