1935 - The Young Hong Teck Guan started business in Sabah.
1938 - 1941 Japan occupation of Sabah during World War II. Datuk Seri Hong's enormous contributions and life threatening events during this period were later recorded in the Archives of Sabah.
1944 - Business in Tawau in the post World War II era was advantageous to DatukSeri Hong Teck Guan by trading with allied forces. With more capital, Datuk Seri Hong expanded his business by spreading the wings of Teck Guan to various Sabah districts and oversea  countries.
1953 - Teck Guan Company was destroyed by the largest fire in the history of Tawau. Almost all the Tawau shops in town were destroyed.
1954 - Teck Guan began business with Boustead Trading and controlled distribution of copra throughout Sabah.
1955 - Teck Guan began business with Shell.
1956 - Teck Guan owned a fleet of ocean liners.
1957 - Started planting of cocoa trees.
1959 - Started operation of saw mill and brick factory.
1960 - Started planting of rubber and oil palm.
1965 - Teck Guan developed the first housing project in Sabah, known as Teck Guan Villa.
1976 - Majulah Koko Tawau factory was established and operating.
1981 - Datuk Seri Hong Teck Guan Trust was formed.
1994 - Cacao Paramount cocoa factory started operation.
1996 - Teck Guan Perdana Berhad was listed in the Second Board of Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE).
1999 - Atlantica Palm Oil Mill started operation.
2000 - Brantian Palm Oil Mill started operation,
2002 - Teck Guan shifted to modern & state of the art head office in Tawau - Teck Guan Regency.
Teck Guan was appointed as Celcom's authorized prepaid mobile distributor for Sabah.
2003 - Sungai Burung Palm Oil Mill started operation. Teck Guan Steel was formed by merging of all existing steel, building material activities.
