1914 - Datuk Seri Hong Teck Guan was born.
1926 - Following his father's death, a relative invited Datuk Seri Hong to work and study in Kedah.
1934 - Datuk Seri Hong went to Kuching to learn to be a fisherman from his uncle.
1935 - Datuk Seri Hong owned his own fishing boat and began his ever-blooming business.
1938 - Datuk Seri Hong was trapped in Tawaum unable to return due to the Second World War.
1941 - Contributions of Datuk Seri Hong's enormous life threatening events during the anti Japanese war-records are made in archice Sabah.
1944 - Business in Tawau in the post World War II era was advantageous to DatukSeri Hong Teck Guan by trading with allied forces. With enormous capital, Datuk Seri Hong expanded his business by spreading the wings of Teck Guan to various Sabah districts and oversea  countries.
1947 - Datuk Seri Hong co-founded Yuk Chin Primary School.
1956 - Teck Guan owned fleet of ocean liners.
1964 - Datuk Seri Hong together with other Chinese social activities & businessmen formed the Sabah Chinese High School (SCHC).
1973 - Datuk Seri Hong was honoured with Datuk title by the Governor of Sabah.
1976 - Majulah Koko Tawau factory was established and operating.
1981 - Datuk Seri Hong Teck Guan trust was formed.
1991 - Datuk Seri Hong was honoured with Datuk Seri Panglima title by the Governor of Sabah.
1992 - Datuk Seri Hong was bestowed the State's inaugural Tokoh Bapa Wargatua Award.
1996 - Teck Guan Perdana Berhad was listed in the Second Board of Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE).
1997 - Datuk Seri Hong passed away; paving the way for the new begining of second generation.
